Sharing

How do I hand over a card?

Open Cards, choose the card, then Share card. Let the other person scan the code with their phone camera. Text, Copy and More send the same private link another way.

What about NFC?

Supported Android browsers can write the current share to an NFC card; choose NFC in the share sheet. That share is temporary: it opens once and expires with the code. Phone-to-phone NFC needs a native app and compatible devices; the QR code works as the fallback.

How long does a share work?

A new link must be opened within 10 minutes. The first browser to claim it can use it for 45 minutes. While the share sheet is open, Palmer replaces the code for you if it lapses.

Can someone forward my card?

The link only works in the browser that claimed it. Someone who already saw your details can still save or repeat them. Closing the share sheet cancels a link no one has opened.

Your people

How do saved cards stay current?

Free members keep a card as it was when saved. Palmer Club members get later changes automatically. In People, Who has your cards lets you freeze someone to stop future automatic updates to their copies.

Who sees my private notes?

Only your account can see your notes and where you met. A person you save does not receive them.

How do I archive or restore someone?

Open the person, then Manage and Archive person. Their cards, notes and meetings are kept. In People, open Archived, choose the person, then Restore to People. Archiving does not stop eligible card updates.

Palmer and your data

Can I use Palmer as an app?

Yes. Add Palmer to your home screen from Safari on iPhone or Chrome on Android. The person receiving your card doesn't need Palmer or an account.

How do I get or remove my data?

Settings lets you download your data or delete your account. People who saved your card keep their copy after deletion, and it stops updating.
