Your data and privacy

Your account and your memories

Palmer stores your account email, your cards, the people you save, private notes, meeting history and membership status. Supabase provides account and data storage. Vercel serves this app.

Private notes and where you met someone belong to your account. Palmer keeps them out of the cards you share and out of card exchange analytics.

What happens when you share

Sharing gives the recipient the details on the card you choose. A new link must be opened within 10 minutes. The first browser to claim it can use it for 45 minutes.

A recipient can download or copy details they have seen. Link expiry cannot take those copies back. Details sent back to you require the recipient's separate permission.

Club holders can receive later changes to your card. In People, Who has your cards lets you freeze future updates for a holder.

Connected accounts

When you sign in to a service such as LinkedIn, Instagram or YouTube from Connections, that service asks you to approve Palmer. Palmer then reads your public profile from it once: your name, username, profile photo, a short bio where there is one, and your email for LinkedIn and GitHub, and your public repositories for GitHub. Palmer doesn't post or read your messages.

The sign-in token is kept encrypted and is never shown on a card. You choose which of your cards show each connected account. Removing a connection in Settings → Connections deletes it, its imported details and its token.

Paid membership

If you purchase Palmer Club, Stripe collects and processes your payment details. Palmer stores the billing identifiers, subscription status and paid-through date needed to manage access. Palmer never receives your full card number. Manage membership opens Stripe's billing portal for payment updates and cancellation.

Deleting a paid account cancels its subscriptions before Palmer removes it. A payment still processing must finish or be resolved first. Stripe may retain transaction records required for accounting and legal obligations.

Palmer, your assistant

When you write to Palmer, your message and the details it needs to answer (names in your People, private notes about the people you mention, and your plans) go to OpenAI to write the reply. OpenAI is asked not to store them. Message drafts for someone are written from their name and role and your instructions, never your private notes.

Anonymous exchange analytics

PostHog counts when a share link is created, first opened, saved in Palmer, served as a contact file, or used to return details with permission. Each link has an anonymous exchange identifier.

This integration sends no card fields, account emails, private notes, share links or IP addresses. It uses no session recordings or automatic click tracking. A contact file being served does not tell Palmer whether it was imported into a phone's contacts.

Keep control of your data

Archive moves a person out of your main People list and keeps every card, note and meeting. Restore brings them back. Archiving does not stop eligible card updates.

Settings lets you download your cards, saved people, private context, meetings and archive status, or delete your account. Deletion removes your account's records. People who saved your card keep their copy, which stops updating.
